The Islamabad Stock Exchange witnessed bearish trend on Monday as the ISE-10 index was decreased by 34.28 points and closed at 4,294.20 points. A total of 142,000 shares were traded, which were up by 128,500 points when it compared with previous day’s trading of 13,500 shares. Of 135 companies, share prices of 27 companies recorded increase and the share prices of 108 companies registered decrease where as no company remained stable in today’s trading. The share price of Siemens Pakistan Engineering increased by Rs 49.95, while that of Abbot Laboratories decreased by Rs 15.20 per share. PTCL, Pioneer Cement and Byco Petroleum remained the top trading companies in Monday’s trading with 76,000, 36,000 and 25,000 shares respectively.
