Click Slip! $1,200 for apples instead of apple!

The woman had posted an ad on the Gumtree website asking to buy two Apple smartphones. She was soon contacted by another woman who said that she had ‘two Apples’ for sale. The two met at a restaurant in Brisbane where the buyer woman handed over the money for what she thought were two new smartphone. The lady did not check inside the boxes after making payment and on returning home, she found that the boxes contained two pieces of apple fruit. Senior Constable Jess Hopkin of the Crime Prevention Unit in Upper Mt Gravatt, near Brisbane, warned people to be careful when buying things online.
