The power shortfall in the country increased to 3,300 megawatt on Sunday from 3200MW.
The total generation was recorded as 13,000MW against the demand of 16,300MW during the last 24 hours.
According to the daily data released by the National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited, hydel sources were generating 5,430MW, thermal 1,840MW and independent power producers 5,730MW.
