A rape suspect fled after assaulting a disabled 12-year-old girl in the Shadbagh area on Monday.
The parents of the girl, S, had gone to work and she was alone at her house when the unfortunate incident took place.
The accused, Salamat raped S and then fled from the scene. The girl was rushed to Khawaja Saeed Hospital in a critical condition for medical assistance.
Police sources said a case had been registered against Salamat and he would soon be taken into custody.
