Following the information of threats of terror attacks on Central Jail Adiala, 14 new check posts have been established in the area and law enforcement agencies have also started search on roads surrounding the jail.
Orders have also been issued to shoot at sight any suspicious person trying to reach the jurisdiction of jail. Besides, security of all the sensitive areas of the garrison city including GHQ, Army House, PAF, Benazir Airport, Adiala Jail, Ojari Camp, high court, district courts and universities has been tightened. Police, Rangers and army officials have been deployed to guard the sensitive institutions.
According to police, security of all armed forces offices has also been put on high alert. All the arrangements have been made to counter any untoward incident ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Meanwhile, BenazirBhuttoAirport was also sealed due to security purposes.
More than 300 personnel of police and Rangers conducted a joint search operation in areas surrounding Adiala Jail and arrested 20 suspects. The suspects were shifted to some known place for investigation.
