Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered 1.480 kilogrammes (kg) of heroin from Italy bound passenger Shaukat, at Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
As per details, ANF Rawalpindi received information of the smuggling bid and carried out luggage checking of all Italy bound passengers and recovered 1.480 kg of heroin from Shaukat’s luggage, a resident of Jhanda, District Gujjar Khan, holding Pakistani passport number AS-5179942.
He was scheduled to fly by Qatar Airways flight number QR-399. The narcotics were tactfully concealed inside two boxes of sweets.
Shaukat was immediately arrested and a case under CNS Act, 1997 has been registered against him.
