A two-member bench of the Supreme Court chaired by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali would review cases against 19 official institutions.
The institutions are said to have refused to allow the auditing of secret funds by the auditor general, and would thus deliberate their stance over the issue.
In one of its earlier verdicts, the Supreme Court had already declared that no fund, however secret, was immune from its mandatory audit.
“It is only the prerogative of Auditor General to decide what funds to keep secret,” the bench ruled.
