Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Sohail Chaudhry on Saturday deployed 32 more inspectors and 156 traffic wardens at markets, bazaars and shopping malls to check the traffic flow during Ramadan.
He directed officials to take stern action against those involved in stopping the smooth flow of traffic, wrong parking and encroachments.
Fork lifters have been sent to busy and important markets to prevent traffic jams due to wrong parking.
The CTO appealed to the citizens to park their vehicles in parking areas to avoid traffic jams.
