Leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) looked perplexed regarding the alliance with the MQM on Thursday.
Irfaunullah Khan Marwat of the PML-N reiterated the stance of the PML-N against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) saying that the MQM was not an ally.
Marwat has been seen as one of the most vocal figures against the MQM. Trashing all rumours of a PML-N-MQM alliance, Marwat made it clear that there was no official alliance between the two parties.
The PML-N is in hot water both on social and mainstream media for its apparent U-turn on regaring the MQM. Its allies in Sindh including nationalists have reacted strongly against the PML-N’s bid to form ally itself with the Karachi-based party.
