Security tightened at airport amid terror threat

Security has been beefed up at the Benazir International Airport due to terror threats, sources said late on Tuesday night.
Sources said that the intelligence agencies have provided information about potential terror attack on the airport.
Additional contingents of police and commandos were deployed at the airport while SSP operations also visited the facility to review the security arrangements.
On late Monday night, militants launched an audacious attack on Dera Ismail Khan’s Central Prison, Pakistan’s one of the most guarded detention facilities, freeing 243 inmates.
