Paul believes Ramadan bazaars to be a success

Chief Commissioner Islamabad Jawad Paul has said that Ramadan Sasta Bazaars are working successfully in the federal capital aimed at providing relief to the public.

He said that the administration is ensuring the quality of food items at these bazaars and rates of various commodities have been kept low compared to open market rate. “The administration is keeping a strict watch over the prices and magistrates are conducting price checking on daily basis. Fines amounting to Rs 80,7650 have been imposed on 1,500 profiteers for not displaying the rate list of food items,” he added.

Similarly, he explained that campaign against food adulteration and sub-standard drugs is being carried out successfully. “The Drug Inspector has sealed 4 drug outlets for contravention of Drug Act, 1976 including suspension of drug sale licenses on account of expiry. Samples of 60 drugs from various outlets have been taken and sent to the laboratory for testing,” he said.

Drug Inspector, Islamabad Sardar Shabbir Ahmed also seized un-registered drugs from 2 more drug outlets and initiated legal action against the violators. Likewise, under the food adulteration campaign over 200 food outlets were served notices for unhygienic conditions and challans were submitted in the court under the Hygiene and Sanitation Rules. Over 80 samples of food items were taken from these outlets and sent to the laboratory for testing. Action against violators is under way.

Food and Magistrates assistant director conducted inspection of different hotels and bakeries and directed the owners to ensure quality of food items and cleanliness at the premises.

  1. Every type of business is now sustained easily in market as market has a large number of customers. Daily uses and needed products have more importance than other. Daily movement of such products takes place. Among these foods is one of the most essential products in all human being's life. Whatever may be the cost, food condition it is no matter.
