Rawalpindi Division Commissioner Khalid Masood Chaudhry has directed Additional District Collector General (ADCG) Ali Randhawa to take steps for jamming mobile phone service in Adiala Jail.
Step has been taken on persistent complaints about growing tendency of use of mobile phone among the prisoners of jail.
ADCG has directed Assistant Commissioner Sadar Rawalpindi Zahid Sohail to convene the meeting of jail administration and mobile companies and evolve strategy to jam mobile service.
It has been learnt that mobile companies’ towers have been installed close to jail building and efforts will be made to jam mobile service inside jail from these towers. If such efforts don’t succeed then measures will be taken to remove mobile tower.
