Every effort would be made and all the resources available would be utilised to bring lane and line discipline on the National Highways and to provide quality assistance to the road users, newly appointed N-5 Central DIG Mirza Shakil Ahmad said. Central-I SSP Mirza Faran Baig and other officials of the National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) were also present at the meeting. Shakil said he felt proud to be a part of a force known for its honesty, dedication to duty, soft policing, providing quality help to distressed road users and friendly dealing with the violators. Furthermore, he said that no compromise would be made in providing timely and effective help to the distressed road users especially during the hot season and in the Holy month of Ramazan. The DIG also emphasised on the need to install speed checking cameras at accident prone spots. He further instructed the officials concerned to brief and educate motorcyclists as they were the most careless out of all road users.
