Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak at the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday to discuss the attack and the jailbreak in Dera Ismail Khan.
The prime minister stressed the need for ensuring joint efforts among the provinces and the federal government to avoid recurrence of such incidents in the future.
Nawaz told the chief minister that the federal government was ready to provide all possible assistance to the provinces and expressed hope that the provincial government would take measures to address the issue.
He hoped that the terrorists, who escaped, would be arrested soon and the culprits would be punished according to law.
