The four day sports gala announced by Capital Development Authority (CDA) would start from August 1 at various grounds of the federal capital.
CDA Director Sports Malik Atta Ullah Awan on Tuesday said that to promote healthy activities among the youth CDA has organised a mega sports gala including cricket, football, basketball and other sports. He said that CDA Chairman Hassan Nadeem Asif directed the sports wing of the authority to arrange a sports gala in Sectors I-10 and I-9.
The director said that the chairman is focusing on the issues of “I” Series Sectors as these sectors have been previously neglected. “There is a lot of talent in our country which needs proper attention and grooming. CDA has provided the talented youth with a platform to show their skills in different sports tournaments,” he added.
He said that prominent sports clubs of the Sectors I-10 and I-9 will participate in the event.
