Dacoit gang busted!

Koral Police Islamabad on Monday busted a dacoit gang and recovered illegal weapons as well as cab from their possession.
On a tip off, Deputy Superintendent (SP) Shehzad Town Basheer Ahmed Noon with his team conducted a raid at the dacoit’s hideout and nabbed four persons identified as Khalil Hamid, Nasir, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, both residents of Abbottabad and Yousaf Khan, a resident of Peshawar.
The team included Station House Officer Koral Police Station Inspector Rana Mubarik, ASIs Abdul Hafeez, Tariq Rauf. Cases have been registered and further investigation is underway.
Inspector General Police Islamabad Sikandar Hyat and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have appreciated the performance of the Koral police team and directed all police officials to ensure effective crackdown against criminals in their respective areas.
ONE-WHEELERS NABBED: Islamabad Police on Monday nabbed five one wheelers and impounded 192 bikes and 20 vehicles besides arresting 56 suspects and drug pushers. Tinted black paper was also removed from 40 vehicles.

The five one-wheelers were identified as Rizwan, Adnan, Aqib, Arslan and Taimur.

According to details, SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq directed police officials to remain vigilant against mischievous elements and to enhance security and patrolling. Following his directions, general hold up was conducted and strict action was initiated against those driving vehicles without documents. Six beggars were also arrested following a search operation in various areas of the city.

Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Abdul Razaaq from Kohsar Police Station arrested a bootlegger Noor Ahmed and recovered two wine bottles and 20 cans of beer from him. ASI Sabbar Hussain arrested Nasir Aziz and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. Sub-Inspector Abdul Sattar from Tarnol Police Station arrested Saeed Khan and Shahzad for possession of 1.30 kilogrammes of hashish and one 30 bore pistol respectively.

Meanwhile, cases have been registered against those arrested and further investigation is underway.
