Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are taking Tokyo by storm!
The couple hit the red carpet Monday for a premiere of Brad’s World War Z. They gazed into each other’s eyes and waved to fans.
But the trip started on Sunday, when the couple arrived at Haneda Airport with three of their six kids in tow. Pax, 9, was carrying his favorite big purple stuffed animal. Twins Knox and Vivienne, 5, seemed to be taking the craziness in stride.
On Monday, Jolie also addressed a Japanese audience at a screening of herIn the Land of Blood and Honeyfilm, asking for help in stopping sexual violence in war zones.
“Our aim must be to shatter impunity, so that rape can no longer be used as a weapon of war anywhere in the world as it was in Bosnia, and as it is today from Congo to Syria,” she said, according to AP.
Jolie, who serves as special envoy for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, was speaking at a special screening event at the U.N. University in Tokyo.
Jolie said she hoped her film would inspire Japanese viewers to take action.
“When I started down the road, making this film, I thought only of telling a story and doing my best to try to give a voice to survivors,” she said. “But today I am here not only as a director, but as a campaigner, and a part of a global effort that is growing every day.”
