It may be his Bollywood debut, but Shivam Patil says he didn’t have any inhibitions about doing steamy scenes in Nasha. “If you are serious about your craft, you should be able to do everything. Be it bold, comic, dramatic or emotional, all scenes demand intensity and test you as an actor. In Nasha, there were many scenes that required me to break down and I was absolutely at ease doing them as well.” He adds, “I am an actor, not a stripper. I am not stripping for attention, I have done it because my character demanded it.” About his film, he says, “My focus was to bring forth my character Sahil’s emotional vulnerability. The real USP of this film is its performance-driven content, a realistic take on the coming-of-age of a young, naive boy, and how relatable his journey is to anyone who has trodden similar paths in their youth.”
