A computerised national identity card (CNIC) recovered from a terrorist killed during the attack on the ISI district headquarters in Sukkur has been discovered to be fake.
According to media reports, the CNIC reads the name of the terrorist as Shakeel Ahmed, a resident of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. When the team probing the attack investigated the CNIC, it was discovered to be fake.
Meanwhile, samples collected from the site of the attack have been sent to Islamabad for DNA tests.
At least four police and intelligence officials were killed when the terrorists attacked the ISI office on July 24. Five terrorists were also killed in the attack.
