The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has invited the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to become a part of the federal government.
In a high-level meeting held between the PML-N and the MQM at Nine Zero in Karachi on Friday, the MQM formally announced its support to PML-N’s presidential candidate Mamnoon Hussain.
Later addressing a press conference, Hussain said if elected, he would not be representing a single political party, but will be the president of Pakistan.
Leaders of both parties vowed to collectively rid Pakistan of the problems that it was currently facing, including the energy crisis, corruption, terrorism and poverty.
The MQM delegation of Sindh Governor Ishratul Ebad, Rabita Committee Deputy Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddique, Rabita Committee member Amir Khan, Sardar Ahmed, and opposition leader Faisal Sabzwari, welcomed their guests.
Hussain was accompanied by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid.
During the meeting, MQM chief Altaf Hussain spoke to the PML-N members via telephone.
MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi tweeted about the meeting while it was in progress.
The PML-N had formally requested the MQM to lend support to the party’s candidate in the upcoming presidential elections.
Sources said all formalities allowing the MQM to extend its support to the PML-N were almost complete.
MQM’s cooperation to the PML-N is expected to continue even after the presidential elections scheduled to be held on July 30.

At last PML N and its government surrenders to MQM which hands are polluted with bloods of Karachi and Hyderabad peoples and even Dr Imran Farooq killed by Altaf and his terrorist organization MQM. New government also not different then previous PPP lead government same failed policies continues by new government. Hamid Gul was right that NRO 2 is ready.Seems NRO 2 already started its work.
If MQM joins federal government the cases in London against Altaf Hussain will not be dropped I doubt if any change will occur in cased against Altaf Hussain Cases under investigation are in London not in Karachi. No one can changed the process of investigations in London PML N will be making a big mistake to invite MQM to join the Federal Government Governor of Sindh will be changed no matter what other changes take place.
O politician MQM has worth that's why the leaders like Benazi,Nawaz Shari and many other politician of different political parties of Pakistan have been visiting at 90 to seek her support, MQM can not be simply ignored, no matter what allegation and charges levelled by the opposition parties but finally they have to come at the door of 90, this is ground reality. So far as concern, the cases against Altaf Hussain in London, British agencies are deeply investigating allegation levelled against him and if he found guilty he will be punished, most serious case was money laundering, for which MQM has sought for ten day's more time to provide proper updated information that's it.
The same old dirty tricks of Democracy and politics are unfolding,huge hopes and huge boasting towards a good govt has again demolished the hopes of people.People vote and politicians kick them and ditch them. i am not supporter of mqm or pml ,but this is matured and political rite dececion done by MQM. And pml n , why are other party worker thinking negative angle. If mqm support to ppp then these people says its good. Should be change according to time to time as like MQM.

While MQM takes a bold decision of not to be blackmailed by PPPPTI any more, it is supporting the candidate of PMLN.
The PMLN has presence all over the country whereas PPP & PTI are only the regional parties with no presence in Balochistan and PPP completely kicked out from Punjab & KPK.
The country has also observed great visionary steps of the PMLN Leadership in giving PTI a "chance" to rule in KPK when PTI is also a minority (majority starts at 50% while PTI is hardly 34%), and BNP-led Baloch nationalists to make the Government despite the fact that PMLN is the largest minority in Balochistan Assembly. Similarly Mian Sb has advised his members to stay away from dislodging the government of Chaudhry Abdul Majeed in AJK.
Hence proven that PMLN is the most sensible & mature leadership representing & combining the federating units together. In these circumstances, MQM has taken a wise decision to support the Federal Party representing the entire Pakistan.

This is cheap dirty politics not maturity. You should stick to your Principles even in Politics. When PMLN and Gunja were trying to win elections they were bashing MQM (in 90s and in 2013). Now they need vote to get their Presidential Candidate win election they go to "90" despite a history of bad blood between 2 parties. PTI is not a regional party since they got votes in All 4 provinces and won majority of seats in KPK. Also you are very naive to think that PMLN gave KPK to PTI and Baluchistan to BNP. You have no idea how Gunja Brothers and PMLN dirty politics works. They are Munafiq of epic proportions and even worse than Zardari in many aspects. The so called good gesture was basically washing your hands of responsibility and only manage Punjab since they are not capable of handling 3 different provinces on their own and have always been afraid to take responsibility. It was for their own selfish reasons and ease. They are not Angels in fact they are demons pretending to be Angels which is a worse kind. As far as MQM is concerned they have always been an opportunistic party which cant survive without being in alliance with Govt. Both parties are pathetic and have no morals and principles and are parasites eating away the country from inside. I read these comments with utmost interest. I wonder who fired the first shot when Ayub Khan lost the election in Karachi (thugs of Gauhar Ayub)? Who crushed the citizens of Karachi for protesting time after time while rest of the West Pakistan was scared? East Pakistanis could not take it any more, they left. What ever MQM is, it is a reaction of Karachi to the brutality of martial races. If the remaining Pakistanis do not come to senses then this amputated Pakistan is getting ready for another split. Islam & the ideology of Pakistan has failed in the past, it will fail again. Stop sucking your pacifiers.
All sensible people hates MQM as it is known widely as Bhatta Khor and Terrorist Mafia, it is not a political party, its chief Altaf Hussain is hiding in U.K for last 20 Years and afraid to come back to Pakistan and face public and courts. We often ignore one cardinal principle of politics in Pakistan where horse-trading is the name of the game, always. There are no friends and no foes in Pakistan's politics. Today's friends can be tomorrow's foes and vice versa. Secondly, there are no ideological parties. They are votebank parties. Conservatives, Liberals, Islamists etc. We have divided our politics along the lines of religion, sect, ethnicity, language, biradari, province, district and so on. Love for Pakistan exists only for slogan-mongering; nothing else.
Parties like MQM who are born of compulsion under the aegis of the intelligence agencies are always looked after by their godfathers. Stick and carrot or Danda and Halwa methodology is used to lure individuals and groups and also to keep them on their assigned tracks. Most of the political parties and groups in Pakistan were founded by the intelligence agencies, not by the people. And there are always forgive and forget elements working between them for mutual benefit.
Expediency is often the prime objective; not the welfare of the people, nor the progress of the country. Politicians is a biradari. Aapas mein kabhi khafa, khabi khush but they never ignore their common bonds and common interests as a community or biradari. We, the commoners, do not belong to their community except for casting our vote or clapping in their 'jalsa and jaloos.'

All the parties are in power PTI in KPK, PPP in Sindh etc then why not MQM. Why do people have problem if they want to be in power (like the rest). Why single them out! They too have a mandate in KARACHI and still cant form government because PPP still dominates if we take the entire Sindh / rural areas. Hence MQM does not have any option but to come into power through alliances. This is Justified !!
