Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has affirmed his commitment to a strong and cooperative relationship with the United States.
Meeting US Ambassador Richard Olson on Friday, the prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s full commitment to all initiatives designed to promote peace and stability in Afghanistan and informed the ambassador of the recent visit of his adviser on national security and foreign affairs to Kabul.
He conveyed to Ambassador Olson that he looked forward to receive Secretary John Kerry and in addition to sharing views on the present state of the relationship‚ besides a vision of bilateral relations in the future.
Ambassador Olson informed the prime minister about US priorities relating to the visit of John Kerry and also took the opportunity to brief him on Pakistan-US relations and the regional situation.
