PPP woos PTI

Earlier in the day, Pakistan People’s Party members met with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to discuss the possibility of fielding a joint candidate for election of the president due to be held on July 30.
The meeting was held at Imran Khan’s residence and covered a host of issues, including uniting the opposition and also pondering on the option of boycotting the election in protest to provision of very short time to the candidates for campaigning.
Talking to media, PPP leader Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan said that during the brief meeting, both the parties had detailed discussion upon the issues related to the presidential election.
He said the nation would get good news over the presidential election on Friday after a follow-up meeting between the PPP and PTI.
