Leaving the Accountability (AC) Court judge, Mohammad Bashir, in a high security risk that too when he is hearing a highly sensitive reference against Touqir Sadiq in OGRA corruption case, all security men have been withdrawn after instructions by higher authorities.
As per media reports, the security has been withdrawn from July 17. Only one security personnel has been deployed each in his courtroom and for his (judge’s) personal security.
Sources said the request was made several times to the IG, DIG and SP to return security to the judge but concerned officers refused doing so. The police officials said that orders of withdrawing the security were received from higher authorities.
On the other side, Touqir Sadiq revealed during investigation that he had three houses in DHA Lahore. Two of them were his private property while one belonged to his uncle Abdul Ghafoor, Touqir was quoted as having said.
