Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah said he satisfied Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan that is well in the metropolis.
Leaders of various political parties, including Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Awami National Party, Jamaat-e-Islami and Sunni Tehreek attended the Iftar party hosted by Sindh government at the Chief Minister House.
Addressing the Iftar party, CM Qaim noted it was the government’s responsibility, not the Supreme Court’s, to give a date for local bodies elections. However, in a unique somersault, he changed his stance after the Iftar reception, saying, “The Sindh government will hold local bodies elections tomorrow if so decreed by the apex court.”
