Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) on Monday announced the schedule for shut down of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) shutdowns for the coming week. In compliance with sector priority order for gas load management, all CNG stations in the province would remain closed for three days.
According to the schedule, all CNG stations in the province would remain closed from 8:00 am on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 till 8:00 am on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. In addition, another shut down would be observed on Thursday July 25, 2013 from 8:00 am to Friday July 26, 2013 till 8:00 am. Meanwhile, the third shut down would commence from 8.00 am on Saturday, July 27, 2013 and would last till Sunday, July 28, 2013, till 8.00 am.
CNG stations found operational during this period would have their gas supply disconnected. SSGC authorities have also advised the owners of the CNG stations not to fill CNG in such vehicles, where safety of installed CNG cylinders seemed dubious. SSGC regrets the inconvenience which may be caused to CNG users and industrialists during the above notified shut down period, said a statement issued by the utility.
