Influentially backed land mafia have grabbed government lands worth billions of rupees allegedly in connivance with the Cantonment Board officials, while the law enforcement agencies have turned a blind eye towards the situation despite receiving complaints.

In an application submitted to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) dated June 4, retired Mechanical Engineer Malik Muhammad Ayub alleged that a fraudulent company has illegally occupied government land by preparing fake documents in consent with the Cantonment Board officials.

He said that 21 kanals and 14 marla land in Harley Street of Tench Bhata, 21 kanals land on Kashmir Road and 11 kanals land of H#34, Haider Road have been illegally occupied by the fraudulent company.

The applicant further alleged that he obtained attested documents of the land from the Land Revenue Department and sent them to Cantonment Board Land Engineer and Executive Officer but they presented bogus documents in the court and lost the case of Khasra no. 731.

The applicant claimed that he has original documents of the lands and he is ready to present the documents as evidence.

He appealed to the Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan to take notice of the illegal occupation of the government land and constitute a team to enquire into the matter.
