Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) National Assembly Member (MNA) Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said on Monday that the government was committed to the smooth provision of essential commodities at low rates in Ramadan bazaars. “No compromise will be made on the quality of commodities,” he told the Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yasin, along with the heads of various departments supervising Ramadan bazaars. Hamza said that Ramadan bazaars should be made model bazaars for their facilities and arrangements. “Comprehensive arrangements have been made for the provision of essential items to people. Since the month of Ramadan commenced during the monsoon, special arrangements should also be made to facilitate visitors. A subsidy of Rs 3.2 billion on flour is being provided, under which ten kg flour has been made available for Rs 315 in Ramadan bazaars,” he said. Hamza directed the officers to keep an eye on shopkeepers involved in short-measuring and profiteering. “They should be dealt with an iron hand,” he said.
I do not know for what and why Hamza for quality products in Ramadan Kareem is talking about? All the products are inferior and low quality, but people are forced to buy as they have no alternative but buy from these rubbish centers. The behavior of shopkeepers are very alarming and uncivilized and low quality products are sold at very high prices. When big dignities visit, the shopkeepers are very smart and change their behavior .All these so-called public benefits shopping phenomena is absolute self-made which needs lots of improvements. We are Muslims and all vegetables and fruits are Pakistan made ,but prices are of U.S.A standard which a common man cannot approach. The local government must supervise honestly so that public can buy high quality products at very reasonable prices/All these products are available in the open markets much cheaper and best quality.
I will really miss this ramadan ……..Some very useful memories will remain in my mind through out my life.
