Captain Misbah yet to make a century

Misbah-ul-Haq became the highest run-getter in one-day internationals without a century. The Pakistani skipper achieved this feat during his unbeaten 53-run knock in the fourth match of the five-match series against West Indies at Beausejour Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia on Sunday (July 21).
Misbah, who has scored 3756 runs at 44.18 with 28 half centuries in 113 innings of 124 matches, went past Wasim Akram’s record of most runs in ODIs without a century.
The former Pakistani skipper made 3717 runs at 16.52 with six fifties in 280 innings of 356 matches.
Misbah scored 585 runs at 34.41 with a strike rate of 90.41 and three half centuries in 22 innings of 27 matches at home while he made 3171 runs at 46.63 and a strike rate of 71.03 and 25 fifties in 91 innings of 97 matches outside Pakistan.
The right handed middle order batsman’s highest score in ODIs is an unbeaten 96 in 187 minutes off 127 balls with five fours and three sixes against West Indies at The Oval on June 7, 2013. Misbah’s unbeaten 53 came off 43 balls with three fours and a six and strike rate of 123.25. It was his second fastest fifty plus knock in one-dayers after an unbeaten 55 off 38 balls with four fours and a six and a strike rate of 144.73 against Zimbabwe at Karachi on Jan 21, 2008.
Marlon Samuels recorded his highest score against Pakistan in one day internationals by making an unbeaten 106 off 104 balls with nine fours and four sixes. His previous highest against Pakistan was an ubneaten 100 off 99 balls with 17 fours and a six at Multan on December 13,2006.
