Grandsons of late Nawab Akbar Bugti, Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti, Nawabzada Gohram Bugti and other refugees of Bugti tribe have succeeded in getting permission from the interior ministry to return to Dera Bugti.
Members of the Bugti tribe had been holding a sit-in in front of the National Press Club and D Chowk of the Parliament for the last three months.
According to details, a formal announcement about the Bugti tribe people leaving Islamabad for their native district would be made today (Monday) at a press conference. They are likely to leave Islamabad on 24 or 25 of July, 2013.
Sources said the interior ministry had written a letter to the Balochistan provincial government, IG FC, IG Police and district administration of Dera Bugti to ensure safe return of the members of Nawab Akbar Bugti family and other tribesmen to their homes.
The interior ministry further instructed the provincial government and other security institutions not to resort to any tactics like registration or other restrictions on their return.
Leaders of the protesting Bugtis said they would proceed from Islamabad to Rajanpur and then to Kashmore, Sui and Dera Bugti. They said thousands of Bugti refugees presently settled in Rajanpur and Kashmore would also join them on the way.
