A moderate earthquake was felt overnight in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Malakand, Swat and Chitral on Sunday.
According to media reports, people were busy taking Sehri to begin their fast in the holy month of Ramadan in Swat, Malakand and Chitral when the earthquake occurred. People panicked and rushed out of their houses.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, the earthquake measured 5.2 on the Richter scale and its epicenter was located in the Hindu KushMountains.
