Teachers on the line again

The Punjab government has decided to devise a policy of rewarding or punishing the teachers on the basis of matriculation results in their respective subjects.

According to the policy, the teachers with poor performance in matric results would be terminated, while teachers showing good results would be rewarded.

Directorate of Public Instructions (DPI) has directed all educational boards to submit details of matric results till July 28. The results will be announced on July 25.

Under the policy, the teachers and school heads showing matric results between zero per cent to 10 per cent will be terminated, 11 per cent to 25 per cent will be issued show cause notices and teachers showing 80 per cent results will be rewarded.
