A man and his son were gunned down late on Friday by their rivals in the Harbanspura police precincts.
According to the police, Maulvi Ramzan and his son Ameer Hamza, who hailed from Atokey Awan in Batapur, were passing through the Harbanspura Canal Road on a motorbike when armed men from a rival group opened fire at them.
Consequently, Ramzan died on the spot while his son sustained serious wounds. They were both shifted to a hospital where the injured son also succumbed to his wounds.
The accused managed to escape from the scene.
The police have registered a case against the murderers and started raids for their arrest.
