Khawaja soothes KP CM on energy crisis

Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif on Friday assured Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Parvez Khattak that all problems relating to power will be resolved on priority basis.

Khawaja Asif expressed these views in a meeting with the KP chief minister in Islamabad. They discussed matters pertaining to energy crisis in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Talking to newsmen after the meeting‚ Khawaja said all problems of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa relating to power would be resolved. He said the province was getting full share of its quota which would be increased once the supply of power improves.

Speaking on the occasion‚ Parvez Khattak said the federation had assured to solve the problems of the province on preferential basis.

He said the previous government did nothing to upgrade the power grid, however, he claimed to upgrade the system just in three years.
