Resident Director Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) Waqar Ahmed on Friday said that the Potohari films and dramas played a vital role for the promotion of Potohar culture. The director said this while addressing a ceremony to promote the newly released Potohari tele film “Raje Badshah”. He added artists belonging to this region were some of the best the country. Artists of the film Iffat Chaudary, Batin Farooqui, Anjum Malik, Shagufta Khan, Laiba Ali and Nighat Butt were also present on the occasion and said that neat and clean script was the way to enhance the ability of performance. “All tele film production has been carried out in the Potohar region and the cast has done perfomed marvelously to not only put a magnificent film on screen but to forward the Potohari culture.”
