Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Director Pakistan General (DG) Waseem Touqeer on Thursday said the government was taking measures to restore YouTube and was removing objectionable and blasphemous material from it.
Talking to a objectionable material would be blocked in 24 hours, he private television channel, he said the government had already restricted the links leading to the objectionable material. Gradually the website would be restored as any links showing said.
He said the government wanted to reinstate YouTube for the public and the courts had also issued orders in this regard.
