Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehsan Ghani said that setting up of a new force is under consideration to effectively deal with terrorism in the province.
Talking to VOA, IGP Ehsan said a new security plan was under consideration. Under the plan, he said, a special anti-insurgency police force will be set up to prevent militants’ entry from FATA for acts of terrorism in the settled areas.
The new force will have no boundary restrictions and its personnel will be empowered to pursue the fleeing attackers involved in acts of terror in settled areas even in tribal areas, he said.
The IGP said the proposed force will be set up very soon as efforts are already underway to constitute the force
it might be a matter of adjusting PTI people in jobs but force would not be able to control Taliban. for them the only army remain a hope.
