Pakistan and China signed a protocol paving the way for a significant breakthrough for market access of Pakistani mangoes in China.
The document was signed between Pakistan’s Ministry of National Food Security and Research (MNFSR) and China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision and the Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).
The protocol on the phytosanitary requirements for export of mangoes from Pakistan was signed on Monday by Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Masood Khalid and the Chinese Minister Zhi Shuting. The deal envisages export of fresh mangoes from Pakistan to China in compliance with plant quarantine and phytosanitary regulations.
