Police constable commits suicide, LWMC truck kills man

A police constable in the city committed suicide on Tuesday. The constable, Faisal Jabbar, was appointed to Mazang Police Station and shot himself near Mayani Sahib Graveyard due to unknown reasons. The police reached the spot after receiving a call from locals. They recovered his dead body and shifted it to the morgue for the post-mortem. Police officials said that they will inquire into the case and investigate the reasons behind the suicide. They suggested it may have been a case of rivalry, but it is too early to say anything.
LWMC TRUCK KILLS MAN: Meanwhile, in the area of Gujjarpura, a speeding Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) truck hit and killed a man on Tuesday. Reports said that the man, who was named Afazl, was returning to his house along with his wife on motorbike when a speeding LWM Company truck hit them from behind. Afzal died on the spot, and his wife was badly injured and rushed to the nearest hospital. The police reached the site of the accident and arrested the truck driver, a man named Sadiq. They also filed an FIR against him in the area’s police station.
CAR FALLS IN CANAL: A over speeding car fell in the Canal at Harbanspura on Tuesday when the driver lost control of the vehicle. Reports said that five men along with the driver were sitting in the car when the driver lost control. The driver received minor injuries in the accident and the others were saved. The police, upon reaching the site of the accident, arrested the men. Police said that they will release them after verifying their identification.
