The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to cancel tenders for sanitation system of six sectors after receiving bids for the contract.
According to CDA officials, the CDA is mulling over handing over the sanitation system of the six sectors, including sectors G-6, G-7, G-8, G-9, G-10 and I-10 to a Turkish firm. Earlier, a local contractor had been taking the contract of sanitation every year.
The officials said that the civic authority announced the tenders in May and total bid for the sanitation was from Rs 2.9 million to Rs 3.2 million, therefore Civic Management Directorate sent a summary proposing cancellation of the tenders.
