Rawalpindi District Coordinator Officer (DCO) Talat Mehmood Gondal has directed concerned authorities to black list the shopkeepers involved in selling commodities at higher rates than prices fixed by the government.
Expressing his views, during his visit to Ramadan Bazaars he said that government has given relief package of Rs 4 billion to the common man by lower prices of eatables in Ramadan Bazaars than open market.
He said that strict action would be taken against persons selling low quality products and those involved in overcharging.
The DCO personally examined stalls established in Nawaz Sharif Park, Committee Chowk, Haideri Chowk, Khayaban e Sir Syed and Choohar Chowk and inquired about prices and quality of commodities from shopkeepers.
He highlighted that these bazaars have been set up to provide relief to the public.
