Massive traffic jams was witnessed across the city on Monday as the masses rushed to break their fasts.
According to reports, severe traffic congestion halted trapped vehicles at Mohamad Ali Jinnah Road, II Chundrigar Road, Dr Ziauddin Road, Saddar, Preedy Street, Burns Road, Club Road, Abdullah Haroon among other, bringing the metropolis to a virtual halt.
The jams caught hundreds of vehicles which resulted in total mayhem on the city’s thoroughfares. Exhausted motorists complained that no measures had been taken by the authorities concerned to avert such traffic mess which plagued the city every Ramadan.
