100 more cops for a better traffic system

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bani Amin Khan has provided 100 additional personnel from the department to better performance of traffic police in the federal capital.

Addressing the officers and personnel at Islamabad Traffic Police Headquarters, he instructed that all resources should be utilised to improve the traffic system with the sole objective to facilitate the citizens.

He directed to pursue zero-tolerance policy and said the force should take action against violators as per rules and regulations. “The Islamabad Traffic Police should also educate and guide the commuters regarding traffic rules,” he added.

The IGP gave motorbikes to the department to help improve the system. He said that dedicated and hardworking personnel would be rewarded, while strict disciplinary action would be taken against inefficient personnel.

Additional Inspector General (AIG) Azam Taimuri was also present on the occasion.
