Seven terrorists were killed after jets on Sunday pounded their hideouts in Aurakzai and Khyber agencies.
Security officials said Pakistan Air Force jet fighters pounded terrorist hideouts in mountainous area of Akka Khel area of Tirah Valley in Khyber Agency.
However, tribesmen informed that militants hiding in Akakhel area of Khyber Agency were also targeted by jet fighters.
The official said that as many as seven militants were killed and another five injured. He also claimed that six hideouts were destroyed in the air strike.
Two more terrorists were killed in air raid in neighbouring Kurram Agency.
A strategically important area, Tirah Valley borders Afghanistan and also connects to Bara, which then leads to Peshawar.
The valley has been under the influence of various militant factions, including LI, TTP, and Ansarul Islam, whose members constantly target each other over territorial disputes and sectarian differences.
