Following the Supreme Court’s action against dual national governmental officials, the government has summoned details of such officials.
A directive issued to all governmental organisations in this regard has ordered all dual national officials to announce their status; while all finalised lists should be handed over to the Establishment Division.
Sources said that directives issued to the Establishment Division include special care about the aspect of dual nationality to be taken during postings and transfers, with prompt reporting to relevant heads.
The SC has sought an explanation from the attorney general of Pakistan in this regard.
