Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Central Leader Dr Farooq Sattar has said that a media trial against the party founder Altaf Hussain was underway, and allegations were leveled against him without concrete evidence.
Talking during a private television channel programme, he said no one should be blamed unless and until he was convicted and arrested.
Responding to a query, he said MQM was being subjected to pressure, and approaching Scotland Yard via thousands of emails and phone calls could have been one reason behind it.
Responding to another question, Sattar said the British system was generally unbiased but at times, it did act according to its own interests.
He said those dreaming of MQM sans Altaf would meet failure, and his party would file defamation suit against those instigating a media trial against the party and its leader.
