Chhipa Welfare Association (CWA) Chief Ramzan Chhipa on Sunday expressed concern over the killing of six newborns during the current month. He appealed to the populace not to desert or harm their offspring but instead place them in cradles outside the Chhipa centers, so that the babies could be looked after. Chhipa was talking to reporters following the recovery an abandoned new-born girl from the Cattle Colony area of the city. He said his association had so far handed over hundreds of newborns to couples who wished to adopt them. He further stated that life was precious and no parent had the right to dispose off his offspring the way in which people did. He requested all parents in dire circumstances not to harm or abandon their children but instead hand them over to the philanthropist, so they too could be looked after.
