SUBJECT=COMPLAINT AGAINST DR TAHIR FAOOQI, Medical

R/Sir,
1)- In all the medical colleges,the first lession is always being taught to all medical students that they would to consider the medical profession as a sacred profession and they should maintain the INSANIYAT by giving the medical tratment to their patients in most honestly way.
2)- Now question is arised how many doctors are observing this most important point.I think that those doctors who come from GOOD BLOODED FAMILIES are the good doctors but those doctors who come from GHUTIYA TYPE & NEECH KHANDAN are not good doctors.
3)- Such doctors are always observed in TAKABAR PASANDI mode.THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO TREAT THE PATIENTS AND HOW TO RESPECT THE PATIENTS.
4)- I am saying this that once my wife was refered by Dr M.YOUSIF Shirazi ,medical officer Islamabad IESCO dispensary to Dr Tahir Farooqi Medical Superintendent Wapda Hospital Rawalpindi.
we went there in wapda Hospital Rawalpindi. It was looking just like
FISH MARKET, ( MACHLI BAZAR ). There was heavy rush of patients .There was no sitting arrangements for the 70 years old aged patients. we both old aged persons waited there out side of Hospital for two hours. Dr Tahir Farooqi was guppinh with his friends in his room. I requested three times to his peon to inform the doctor about us.AFTER TWO HOURS,HE CALLED US INSIDE.HIS FRIENDS WERE STILL INSIDE. WE WERE STANDING BEFORE HIM JUST LIKE JUST LIKE PRISONERS. HE FIRST SOKE RUDLY TO US AND THEN ASKED WHAT WAS YOUR DISEASE; HE HAD ASKED THIS QUESTION IN FRONT OF HIS FRIEND IN MOST INSULTING MANNERS. SEEING THIS INSULTING POSITION, WE COME BACK WITHOUT MEDICAL CHECK UP.i AM OF THE VIEWS THAT PROFESSIONAL DEGREES OF SUCH TAKABER PASAND DOCTORS SHOULD BE CANCELLED AS SUCH DOCTORS CAN DEFAME THE POSITION OF OTHERSgood DO CTORS.

Now I am asking question from all doctors of Punjab, ( Who are also members of PMA Lahore) that whether the behaviour of Dr Tahir Farooqi was ight in your views point or not. I hope that all doctors will submit their comments to me on my email [email protected].

I am also informing to all doctors of punjab that I have always appreciated and favoured good doctors of Pakistan but I am of the views that in future.the most intelligent youngs of good blooded family should come forward to adopt the mecal profession and should be given admission in all mrdical colleges of pakistan so that good doctors should be available in pakistan who really consider the medical professional as a sacred profession and they should serve the patients in politely way and can give them proper medical treatment in most honestly ways and should maintain the insaniyat in this islamic country of Pakistan . But only those doctors can treat well with their patients who always fear from ALLAH and be polite with their patients. Thanking you.

I don't live in Pakistan and am not a member of the association you are appealing to but stll i would like to comment. I agree that our profession is noble—that goes without saying. The patient always come first. He is the weaker party. He needs empathy and sympathy. If what you write is correct you received neither. When one writes a emotionally charged article the irrelevant makes the relevant recede into the background.
I do not agree to your characterisation of good breedindg and otherwise. The environment and culture of the country is such that authority and not humility is dominant. The doctors and patients do not respect each other. The latter are a source of nourishment for the former. In my own hospital if the patient is not satisfied which happens occasionaly he is given an appoinment to see the chief and if still not happy an independent person from outside the hospital takes over(very rare). Mostly it is all about human relationships under stress in ICU. I would advise you to stick to the matter and not focus on the personalties and breeding of the doctors. The culture of impunity exists and will continue to exist but together we can reduce it. Good luck and greetings to your wife. Perhaps Dr. Farooqi has a different version?
