If the Scotland Yard probe into Dr Imran Farooq’s murder case weren’t enough to unnerve the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), former Sindh home minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza on Saturday reached London to help the British authorities investigate among other charges, money laundering and incitement to violence against MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
Sources in Mirza’s family told a private TV channel that the former provincial minister would meet Scotland Yard officials in the next few days. Mirza, who is settled with his family in Dubai, had flown to London when he was contacted by the British officials.
London’s Metropolitan Police and the Scotland Yard have confirmed that they are currently investigating the above mentioned charges against the MQM supreme leader, who is settled in Britain.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari, who is also in London these days, telephoned Mirza requesting him to not meet with the British investigators, sources informed the TV channel. The latter, however, refused to abide by the president’s advice, they added.
The Scotland Yard officials requested Mirza to produce the evidences, he had offered to present against the MQM and its chief Altaf Hussain back in 2011.
The senior Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader had resigned as vice president of PPP’s Sindh chapter as well as membership of the Sindh Assembly following spat with MQM – the then coalition partner of President Zardari’s party at the centre and in Sindh.
Mirza had levelled serious allegations on MQM terming the party and its head responsible for targeted killings in Karachi. He not only accused Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad of patronising assassins but also accused MQM’s former minister for ports and shipping Babar Ghauri of being responsible for disappearance of NATO containers.
MQM, however, had condemned all the allegations hurled at it by Zulfiqar Mirza.
Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza, who carries the treasure trove of classified dossier on MQM’s mafia-like activities and its Don like Chief Altaf Hussain, has landed in London on the request of Scotland Yard officials. Mirza is a former home minister of Sindh province and too well-informed to be able to continue in office when MQM was a coalition partner of his party’s government in Sindh. Surely Zadari has acted illegally by asking a person not to co-operate with an on going police investigation. I am not a lawyer but it seems wrong.
Mr Mirza has never hidden his views on the Altaf Hussain. But to accuse him of being anti Urdu speaking is going too far. I would appreciate some quotes or examples to back up the accusations against Mr Mirza of anti Urdu speaker views

what is the status of millions of mohjirs who migrated from East Punjab and settled in Pakistan mostly in Punjab. They are more in numbers as compared to Urdu speaking mohjir MQM. the Punjabi mohajirs more loyal to Pakistan

When you talk about MQM, please do not potray it as a party of urdu speakings only. People from other sects are also active members of MQM like Sarfraz Nawaz, Nabil Gabool and many more.

Anyone who is against the state is wrong and must be investigated. Mirza coming to London on the request of Scotland Yard will produce lot of evidence and that can help the British authorities in the case of Altaf Hussain. There are evidences in the media that he ordered his party in KARACHI TO CARRY OUT MAS ARES AND MURDERS in Karachi mainly. Governor of Sindh is no way out of these episodes. May be Babar Gauri have some more information and evidence and can assist Scotland Yard Some more individuals will also come forward to assist because its the requirements of the law that justice is done No one is above the law in UK
My view point by point
1) Mr Altaf Hussain must be given a courtesy by all concerns to be innocent ,until proven guilty,or atleast , charged
2)If Scotland Yard has proof against Mr Altaf as widely beloved,than they probably shouldn’t have needed Mr Mirza, bag of evidence.
3)People in Pakistan,must realize that ,British Govt ,and rest of the Western world could turn on a dime,,take the case of Abu Qatatda,he was mujahideen in the 80’s
list a hand ,half a leg in the war against the Soviets(former)
and was recently deported ,from Britsin to Jordan,last month
In short ,it’s all political,depend if a person in question is dispensable
