A four day exhibition showcasing exclusive Egyptian jewellery and designer wear for the upcoming festival of Eid, attracted a large number of fashion lovers.
The exhibition featuring different varieties of exclusive jewellery, fabric collection including sarees, bedding linen and children’s wear attracted women in great numbers.
Hiba, a student of COMSATS said, “My mother and I prefer to shop well in time for Eid before the markets get choked with people.” She stated excitedly that the varieties on display by famous designers have offered discounts up to 50 to 75 percent.
Fashion Designer Mona said that the dresses depicting figurative work of the Mughal era were specially designed to introduce traditional work in combination with modern style. The collection showcased various new styles of casual and formal wear. “We have brought exclusive new styles instead of repeating the old ones. Unique fabric paints have been introduced in our collection,” she added.
Jewellery Designer Mubashira said, “Jewellery in all forms provides confidence to a woman by enhancing her innate beauty, allowing her to express her individuality.” Highlighting on the new trend of jewellery she said that gem stone jewellery is becoming popular as it is available in a variety of colours in both gold and artificial.
A visitor at the exhibition said, “Women consider jewellery as the most important item of everyday and formal wear. Such exhibitions provide them with an opportunity to accessorise their dresses with trendy jewellery.”
