Federal Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid on Friday lauded the measures taken by National University of Science and Technology (NUST) for establishing the first ever National Science and Technology Park (NSTP) in the country.
During his visit to NUST the minister was briefed on the steps taken to materialise the idea for establishing NSTP, through which linkages among academia, researchers and the industrial sector will be strengthened. He expressed keen interest in the Technology Incubation Centre of the university and commended the international stature NUST had acquired in a short span of time. He also appreciated the industry liaison and international linkages maintained by the university.
The minister visited labs of NUST including SEECS, SMME, ORIC, RCMS, ASAB and Centre for International Peace and Stability and lauded the infrastructure and facilities for its faculty and students.
Federal Secretary of Science and Technology Akhlaq Ahmad Tarar was also present on the occasion.
